Oh No, Not the Dining Hall…

Ah, the dining hall. A place to gather with friends and have dinner, a place to relax after a long day and grab a bite to eat, or as most people would agree, a place to go if you want to be best friends with your bathroom for the next 2 hours afterwards. Now, if you’re like me and go to an average college, you have average food. Nothing special, nothing normal either. We all have those stories about the dining hall and what it’s done to us, especially on Taco Tuesday’s.

Dhall, as most would call it, usually leaves you feeling unpleasant afterwards. Some of your favorite foods can do the most damage. At times like this, vegetarians are probably having the last laugh. Eating meat in college is a hit or miss, and most of the time it’s a miss.

If there’s one thing to enjoy about dhall food, it’s any other food. Dining hall food makes you appreciate food at home. I remember the first time I came home from college and had my mothers cooking again, it tasted like the best meal I’ve ever had. Coming home is great, but coming home to home cooked meals is even greater. College makes you appreciate the little things a whole lot more.
